Troy Record: Capital Bank to begin Wellington Row’s return to commerce, banking hub

Officials who gathered for a press conference at 132 State Street believe that the area surrounding the historic Wellington Row could once again become a hub of commerce and banking. Capital Bank, which is a division of the Chemung Canal Trust Company, operates five Capital Region bank branches. Read more here.

Times Union: Lender first tenant for site

Capital Bank, hoping to be part of the resurgence of downtown Albany, announced Wednesday it will move its headquarters to Wellington Row on State Street. The bank, a subsidiary of Chemung Canal Trust Co., is providing the financing to Wellington Row developer Columbia Development Cos. Read more here.
